To pick up their BIBs and participation kits, runners just need to present their registration confirmation document (PDF sent by email).
The registration confirmation document is a PDF file emailed to all participants. This document includes the runner’s name, race, BIB number, and a bar code. To pick up the BIB and the participation kit, runners must present this document. The PDF can be printed or shown directly from the runner’s mobile phone. Check a PDF example here.

Runners without the correct race BIB will be prevented from participating.
No, the BIBs are personal and non-transferable. Runners that race with the BIB from another person, if not prevented from running, will lose the insurance attributed to the original runner and will have his classification and diploma in the name of the original runner (it’s not possible to change it after the race).
The BIBs and participation kits are delivered at the Seaside Sport Expo at the Sala Tejo – MEO Arena. Runners must go to the Expo/Parque das Nações area, reach the iconic Altice Arena, and follow the signs.
The Seaside Sport Expo will be open Thursday (03.10), Friday (04.10), and Saturday (05.10), from 10h00 am to 08h00 pm.
No BIBs or participation kits are delivered on the race day.
To pick up their BIBs and participation kits, runners just need to present the PDF sent by email with their BIB number and a Bar Code at the bottom. The PDFs can be shown printed or directly from a mobile phone.
Runners who didn’t find their PDF can visit the “Solutions” desk at the Seaside Sport Expo and ask for their document. It will be delivered on the spot.

All the participants will receive a personalized BIB (please don’t forget to pick up the safety pins to attach the BIB to your t-shirt), an official t-shirt (runners must choose their t-shirt size when picking it up), a sports bag, an exclusive bag for the bag drop service, and other offers from sponsors.

Any runner can ask another person to pick up the BIB and the participation kit for him presenting the registration document (PDF sent). If a runner has nobody to ask, it may send an email info@maratonaportugal.com and the organization will try to find a way to deliver the BIB, but it’s not guaranteed.

If a runner picked up the wrong BIB he/she must go back to Seaside Sport Expo and ask to change the BIB. If it’s not possible, the runner must use the BIB and, after the race, send a message to info@maratonaportugal.com and ask to associate his/her information to the BIB used.
Only dully registerer runners will be able to replace the participation data.
The participation kit and the race t-shirts are an exclusive offer to runners and are not sold separately from the race registration.
Runners don’t need to present any medical certificate to participate in the race. When registering for the race, runners assume the responsibility for their health, and the preparation to participate.
The starting line of the 2024 Hyundai Half Marathon is located in the middle of the Vasco da Gama bridge.
The start shot of the Hyundai Half Marathon is scheduled for 10h30 am. The buses that take the runners to the start line start at 07h30 am and 09h30 am. After the 09h30 am, it’s not possible to get to the start line.
The organization strongly advises the runners not to wait for the last buses, there will be thousands of runners travelling to the start line and the buses capacity is limited. Being at the start area early is the best way to avoid last-minute complications.
Access to the starting line at the Vasco da Gama bridge is done exclusively through the buses provided by the organization. There is no other way to get to the start.
The buses provided by the organization are available from 07h30 am to 09h30 am. The buses depart from Gare do Oriente (train station) next to Vasco da Gama Shopping Center.
To get to the Gare do Oriente runners can use public transport for free by presenting their BIBs. Runners can use CP trains, Carris Buses, and Subway (Metro) trains. There are multiple lines from Lisbon center to travel to the Gare do Oriente. Runners should plan their journey to reach the buses that depart for the bridge in time for the race start.

Runners staying at the south margin of Tejo River must travel to the Gare do Oriente to use the buses that take the runners to the start line. It’s not possible to reach the start line from the south.
At the start area, the runners will find WCs, the bag drop truck (limited to the runners that have subscribed the bag drop service at their registration), the starting boxes, and the starting line.
There are five starting boxes available: under 1h20; under 1h30; under 1h45; under 2h00; +2h30. The starting boxes were assigned according to the times registered by the runners on the registration form. VIP guests have a specific starting box available.
There will be four different pacers that runners can follow: <4:00 min/km, <4:30 min/km, <5:00 min/km and <5:30 min/km.

Male runners with a personal best (duly proved) under 01h10m and female runners with a personal best under 01h25m (duly proved) can ask a special BIB to start in the front. Runners must send their requests to info@maratonaportugal.com with a document proving the time achieved.
Runners who forgot to pick up the safety pins to attach the BIB to the t-shirt at the Seaside Sport Expo can ask a staff member if he/she has pins available. There’s no guarantee that the staff has enough safety pins for all requests.
The Hyundai Half Marathon course starts right over the Tejo River at the Vasco da Gama bridge, offering an opportunity to run over the longest bridge in Europe and see Lisbon from an exclusive point of view. It shares the finish line with the EDP Lisbon Marathon, joining thousands of runners from both races at one iconic plaza: Praça do Comércio.
To assure that the runners have all the necessary support, the course includes 6 Aid Stations (offering water, fruit, and isotonic drinks), 4 Music Stages (live bands or DJs), 7 WCs points (most of them next to the Aid Stations), 1 field hospital at the finish line and 2 Cool Stations (showers in the course).
With a race record of 01h00m20s, the Hyundai Half Marathon course is fast enough for runners who want to beat their personal best, as well as runners that look for a beautiful and exciting race in an extraordinary city.

Yes, runners can take their own supplies (water, gel, isotonic drinks, fruit) although there is Aid stations along the course with everything runners may need.
It’s not mandatory to use the official t-shirt at the race, but most runners like to use it. The official t-shirts are high-quality technical running t-shirts ready for the demands of the race.
The finish line is at the Praça do Comércio at the Lisbon historical center in front of the Tejo river!
At the finish line, all finishers will receive an exclusive medal and recover supplies such as water, Powerade, fruit, Olá ice cream, and Mimosa Proteína milk.

Runners, that have subscribed to the engraving medal service, just need to present their BIBs. Runners, that haven’t subscribed to the engraving service, can buy the service at the tent.
Runners have free transportation until 05h00 pm on the race day. Runners can use the trains, buses, and subway trains at no charge by presenting their BIBs. At Praça do Comércio, runners must search for the closest train, bus, and subway station and find the best solution for their trip.
