Day 18 and 19 of May
ARTICLE 1 – NAME
On May the 19th 2019, 10:30 a.m., starts the 13th edition of the “EDP Lisboa a Mulher e a Vida”, exclusively for women, organized by MARATONA CLUB DE PORTUGAL, with the support of the Chamber Municipal of Lisbon.
ARTICLE 2 – PARTICIPATION
All women over the age of 14 may participate. The race is limited to 15.000 participants.
ARTICLE 3 – DISTANCE AND ROUTE
The race has a distance of 5km. The departure will be in Santos (next to “Kais” restaurant), going through the street of Cintura do Porto de Lisboa, the Av. Infante Santo viaduct, Av. Brasília to the Vela Latina restaurant. From Vela Latina restaurant, the route continues to the Torre de Belém, where the Finish Line is located.
ARTICLE 4 – REGISTRATION
- Until 31 March – 11 EUROS (eleven euros).
- From April 1 to April 15 – 14.00 EUROS (fourteen euros).
- From 16 April to 18 May – 16.00 EUROS (sixteen euros)
The amount raised will be used for the purchase of breast cancer screening devices.
Women who have been diagnosed with any type of cancer do not pay the registration fee.
Deadlines: Registrations will run until 18 May. Registrations are not accepted on the day of the event.
Notes: The event is limited to 15.000 participants.
ARTICLE 5 – Delivery of BIB numbers and T-shirts
The participation kitbags (BIB number and o will be delivered on May 18th and 19th, during the Sport Expo, held at the CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
It is mandatory to present the document with the athlete’s registration.
Note: The organization does not guarantee the t-shirt sizes.
ARTICLE 6 – MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The organization will hire a specialized medical staff to assist the athletes during the race.
ARTICLE 7 – CLASSIFICATIONS
Only athletes enrolled in one of the prizes below will have a BIB number with chip and the team classification. Individual registrations do not have a chip or classification. The categories available are:
- Vodafone “Mother and Daughter” Prizes
- Two friends OYSHO Prizes
- Three friends CME Prizes
- Mimosa “Correr em Família” Prizes
- Jogos Santa Casa “Corporate” Prizes
The team classifications will be calculated by adding the times of the participants of each team.
The official rankings will be published on the event website.
ARTICLE 8 – DECLASSIFICATIONS
The Medical Assistance Service and Referee Judges are authorized to withdraw any athlete who:
- have physical discomfort.
- do not complete the course.
- present a false BIB, run without a BIB or a not visible BIB.
- Bend or conceal advertising on the back. Improper use of the bib numbers one can prevent the good functioning of the chip system.
- Display unsportsmanlike behaviour.
ARTICLE 9 – VEHICLES
The only vehicles allowed to follow the runners are those designated by the organization. For safety reasons, it’s forbidden to follow the athletes by car, motorcycle or bicycle.
ARTICLE 10 – AWARDS AND OFFERS
There will be prizes for the winners of the different categories. The awards are responsibility of the sponsors.
There will be commemorative medals for all participants that finish the race.
ARTICLE 11 – RESPONSIBILITIES
The athletes will participate in the event under their sole and exclusive responsibility, assuring that at the time of the registration and on the day of the race, they are physically fit for the effort inherent to the event. The organization will provide to all the registered athletes a personal accident insurance, required by the Portuguese Athletics Federation. The assurance polices include a capital for death or permanent disability prize in the amount of EUR 28.000 and treatment costs up to EUR 4,000.00. The organization has no responsibilities for any damage that athletes may cause during the race, to themselves or to third parties, that are not covered by the insurance.
ARTICLE 12 – DISMISSAL
The organization expects all participants to complete the race. However, in case of withdrawal, the athlete must communicate it and deliver the bib number to an element of the organization.
ARTICLE 13 – SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES
In the event of a dispute, the organization will act accordingly with the guidelines of the FPA regulations.
